Course Number Changes
Starting in Summer Quarter 2008, NSCC will begin using a new Common Course Numbering (CCN) system. It is designed to identify courses that are equivalent at community colleges and to make it easier for students who may transfer between two-year colleges. As a result, some of our course numbers and titles have been changed to comply with the new standard.
See the Common Course Numbering page for more information about the system and specific department prefixes and course numbers that have changed.
Print Version of the Class Schedule
Copies of the print schedule are available in many areas on campus. New students can also request a print schedule be mailed to them. Note that the online schedule has the most accurate information, including additions, cancellations, and many other changes that could have occurred since the schedule was printed.
Course Catalog
The Course Catalog is a publication provided by most colleges which lists all of the classes that the college may offer in a given year. A student might use the course catalog to see which classes are offered on a general topic (example: 'statistics') even if the class is not being taught that quarter. The Seattle Community Colleges District publishes a course catalog that includes listings for North, Central, and South campuses. The SCCD course catalog is available online from the district's website.
The online schedule is available 24/7 with the most up-to-date listings.
